Panda Software produces several variations of Anti-Virus software. Home versions are the Titanium version, the Platinum version, and the Truprevent version. The basic version is the Titanium with the Platinum upgraded version providing spam, phishing, and filtering additional. Panda has been in business since 1990, based in Spain.

Truprevent provides a functionality for the detection of viruses based not upon specific signatures, but upon general virus like characteristics. Thus it is able to defeat some viruses before a signature can be developed and distributed. Since it provides a different kind of detection, Truprevent can add this function to another vendor's AV product. Truprevent is standard with both the Titanium and Platinum version.
